In popular tourist destinations like Mexico City and Quintana Roo the Government recently has develoap procedures and new requirements for your Short-Term Rental. This new tax measures for short-term rentals reflects the government's efforts to adapt to the changing dynamics of the hospitality industry.

While these measures may pose challenges for property owners in the short term, they also have the potential to contribute to the sustainable development of the local economy. 

RETUR-Q

As part of the implementation of the new tourism development model, established in the Quintana Roo 2030 Sustainable Tourism Master Plan and in the New Agreement for the Well-being and Development of Quintana Roo, the State Secretariat of Tourism, convenes the Providers of Tourist Services to be registered or endorsed in the State Tourism Registry of Quintana Roo.

The RETUR-Q is the public catalog of tourism service providers in the Mexican Caribbean, through which general information will be available on any natural or legal person who markets any tourist product or service, in order to provide greater security and confidence. , to tourists and visitors to the State.

Quintana Roo - SATQ and RETURQ licences

Operating Licences´ Requeriments

Natural Persons:

  • Current official identification INE / PASSPORT (color digital file, legible and visible).


Moral Persons:

  • Article of incorporation, appointment and identification of the legal representative (digital file in color, legible and visible).


In both cases is required:
1.- Cadastral certificate or property receipt for the last 3 months, or annual receipt. (these payments must be up to date, otherwise the procedure cannot be carried out).

2.- ​Electronic registration folio of the real estate (this information may appear in the deeds or in the cadastral certificate).

3.- Capture of the advertisement with the commercial name of the property as it appears on the digital platform, in color.

 

Important

The validity of this License is 1 year, being renewable the first month of the year, that is January.

  • It is necessary sing a contract with us for the provision of services to obtain establishment licenses.

  • The estimated time is 10 business days, counted from the moment the complete documentation is delivered and payment is made.
